Ausonio is seeking a Construction Management Project Engineer to join our growing team covering multiple clients and projects throughout the greater Monterey area.
PRIMARY SCOPE
Performs assignments in a variety of areas including cost estimating, scheduling,
quality management, and contract administration. Gains knowledge of building
systems, construction sequencing, and the construction process as a whole.
JOB CHARACTERISTICS
- Cost Management
- Assists supervisory staff in reviewing project costs and monitoring
budget. - Prepares cost estimates.
- Learns the contractor’s billing and change order process and how to review that with help from overseeing PM.
- Assists supervisory staff in reviewing project costs and monitoring
- Schedule Management
- Visits job site to monitor progress and conformance with job schedule.
- Learns scheduling software and how to prepare schedules with activity
sequencing help from overseeing PM.
- Quality Management
- Monitors project conformance to plans, specifications, and applicable
standards. - Reviews design and shop drawings.
- Monitors project conformance to plans, specifications, and applicable
- Contract Administration
- Prepares and maintains proper documentation of all project-related
activities. - Administers project management software & provides training and
assistance to client and external participants - Regularly communicates with team as directed by supervising staff.
Collects data and information for supervising staff. - Client Relations and Business Development
- Maintains relationship with client on an ongoing basis to enhance client
satisfaction and increase potential for additional business.
- Prepares and maintains proper documentation of all project-related
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- Ability to use a computer, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
- Demonstrated ability to set and achieve skill development goals and exceed client expectations
SUPERVISION
Works closely with and takes direction from a Project Manager. Typically assigned very specific tasks with measurable results that are reviewed by
the supervisor.
